She is an Umbra witch who was revived 20 years after she was found at the bottom of a lake and, of course, has no memory. She goes on a search to find the owner of the "Right Eye", who's other half is the "Left Eye" and together they create the "Eyes of the World", in hopes that it will get her memories back. On her way she gets attacked by angels. These angels are surely some of the oddest baddies you'll see for a while. They have the cute innocent faces of those little angel statues you see these days but the faces are on all sorts of bodies ranging from simply a floating angel face with wings to a giant two-headed-dragon-with-an-angel-face-on-it's-belly.

Aww, isn't it...cute?

Anyway, Bayonetta fights these weird things and when I say she fights, I really mean that she uses the guns she strapped to her heels along with the guns she holds and also kicks some angel butt with her hair....Yep, her hair. She can somehow magically control her hair to turn into giant shoes to stomp on baddies, giant dragon-dog-things to eat the baddies, and many other shapes and weapons. Now if that doesn't scream Japan I don't know what does.

Even with the man-eating-hair, the gun-stilettos, the baby-faced-demon-angels, her uncanny way to turn any situation into something sexual, and the sometimes irritating voice acting, this game is beautiful! The cities look amazing, the baddies are beautiful, and the way scenes are done just helps enhance it. You can spend just as much time sight-seeing as you can fighting angels.
To avoid spoiling anything, this is as far as I am going to go with this game. It is definitely something worth checking out as long as you can handle the games ability to make every movement she makes into something sexual. It is a fun game, it's a beautiful game, it runs smoothly for the most part, and it is one of the games I've enjoyed the most. Bayonetta, for the Xbox360 and the Playstation 3, Check it out for yourself and enjoy.

Pros:

The game is beautiful. The scenery, the main characters, and even the baddies.

The controls don't make you feel like you should throw the controller through the tv

The boss battles are challenging enough to make it fun but not too frustrating.

Unique. I haven't seen any game much like it.

Cons:

A few glitches here and there

The story skips around a bit

Overall Score:
9/10

Odd Game Update

I can sum up what the game is about just by saying it's name...Toylet. Yep, this game is, in fact, a urinal. It was shown off at E3 this year and I couldn't tell if I should look away or congratulate Sony for taking such a step. This game is one of the oddest concepts I've seen in a while, but it is pretty brilliant to turn everyday things into something fun. When someone walks up to the urinal, the game senses them and lets them play these little mini-games. The games calculates velocity and volume and uses that information to determine what happens on the screen. There's even an option to save you're high score on a flash drive, if you bring one, so you can show it off to your...friends? These mini games include: peeing into a cup, directing the wind to lift a lady's dress, removing graffiti, and much more. I've watched a few E3 videos about the game and feel free to check them out when you get the time but, in the meantime, check out this video about the odd little game that goes by the name of Toylet.

What am I looking forward to?

Bioshock Infinite will definitely be one of the games I'd be willing to spend the night outside of a store for and hopefully it will be worth the wait. This game isn't going to be a sequel or even a prequel of the other games, instead it takes place in a different time and place than the other games. The only big similarity among the games is how the world works, as you probably noticed in the video I posted.
You play as Booker DeWitt, who was a Pinkerton agent (Pinkerton is short for "Pinkerton National Detective Agency") who winds up being hired to infiltrate the floating city of Columbia and locate Elizabeth. He later finds out that there is a massive civil war in the city and each faction is trying to get Elizabeth to help them. Our hero and Elizabeth try to escape city but, of course, it can't be as simple as walking out the front door. They are followed by Songbird, a giant mechanical bird-thing who used to be Elizabeth's friend and guardian while she was in Columbia. wanting to re-capture Elizabeth.
Now, Songbird is cool. I mean, really cool. This giant monstrous mechanical bird from hell could send shivers down your spine! Look at this thing!

Sure it's not a picture from the game but, it's a good concept of the size and shape of this monster when it's not wanting to shred you to bits and devour your soul. Along with the stalker-bird and the civil war there is also time bending in this game! The game itself takes place in 1912 but, as seen in a few trailers here and there, it also finds itself in 1983 because of a tear in space-time. So to put it all into one sentence, Booker gets himself into a ton of trouble because of a girl.

The game is supposed to be coming out in 2012 for the Xbox360 and the Playstation3 and I can't wait! Let's just hope the game is worth the wait and makes jaws drop.

What I Am Playing Now: 3DDGH

I was wandering the world of amazon when I came across this game and just had to give it a shot. What is the game? Answer: 3D Dot Game Heroes. It is a look back on the good old Zelda games, in fact you have to remind yourself it isn't a Zelda game, as you play though collecting orbs from dungeons in order to save the world! The weapons and tools you get along the way will also bring back those old Zelda days of the dash boots, boomerang, hook-shot, and even a bad-ass sword. Just about everything in this game reminds you of our little green clad hero.

The character choices are amazing! You can pick from many pre-made ones or make your own (kinda like legos)! I began this game as one of the already available templates then, as I progressed, I wound up playing as a tiny green worm out to rid the world of all evil, and now I am playing as a little floating magical narwhal!

I should just get to how the game looks. 3DDGH takes the cute little pixels we know and love and turns them into plumped-up little cubes of color that are used to build the world (much like blocks in Minecraft, for those who are familiar with it). Cute blocks are one thing, but the water is another. Either you like it or you hate the stuff. The water in this game is far from resembling the blocks that create the rest of the world. This water is so bright and shiny that it makes for a pretty big distraction for the first few hours of the game. This stuff seriously seems to be made out of some Ultra-reflective-radioactive-water-like-material. See for yourself.

The blinding substance to the right is our "water" and there are some points in the game where you wish you had some sunglasses.

Off the subject of blinding water and onto another, side-quests. These little guys are everywhere! Some side-quests are only available at a certain point in the game while others are going to be around forever, but good luck finding out which ones they are because there is no quest log. There is a list of quest items you obtain throughout the game, but nowhere did I see anything resembling a quest log of some sort. Most quests require you to find a certain key item somewhere in the world and somehow remember when you find that item, exactly who asked for it in the first place. Though they aren't hard to remember, the lack of a log does leave you wandering a city talking to everyone in town because you know that somewhere, at some time, someone asked you for something.

So, overall it is an okay game. Not the best game I have ever played, yet surely not the worst.

Pros:

The game itself is pretty good looking (besides that blinding water, but even that can be pretty at times)

Being able to customize your character to that extent is pretty sweet.

Serves as a good reminder of how far games have come over the years.

Controls are simple and not confusing

The game itself is pretty cheap (That's always a plus)

Cons:

Reflective surfaces. In fact, VERY reflective surfaces. They are very distracting in some dungeons

So much like a Zelda game, it feels as if you've played it before.

Lack of a Quest Log of some sort. (I don't like to spend half an hour jumping town to town just to find the man I need to give a fish to)

Overall Score:
6/10
